Morgan de Lorenzo, APCC

I specialize in providing trauma-informed care grounded in a humanistic and psychodynamic framework, supporting clients navigating substance use and complex interpersonal challenges. I have significant experience working with young adults, supporting them through periods of transition, identity development, and the emotional and relational challenges that often arise during this stage of life.

My approach prioritizes creating a safe, collaborative therapeutic environment where clients feel seen, respected, and empowered to explore their experiences at their own pace. Drawing from humanistic principles, I emphasize authenticity, empathy, and the inherent capacity for growth, while my psychodynamic lens allows us to examine how past relationships shape present behaviors and emotional responses. I work with clients to build insight, strengthen coping strategies, and foster more fulfilling connections, with particular attention to the ways trauma can impact identity, attachment, and self-regulation. Through this integrative approach, I aim to support meaningful, sustainable change that aligns with each client’s values and goals.

As a practicing artist, I also integrate creative expression into my work as a pathway toward healing and self-discovery. I view art as a powerful, nonverbal language that can help access emotions, memories, and parts of the self that may be difficult to articulate through words alone. This approach can be especially meaningful for those processing trauma, navigating identity, or seeking alternative ways to understand themselves.
