Cale Krise, MA

Life circumstances—as well as the systems and relationships we are part of—can create real challenges. Therapy can offer a space to slow down, make sense of what you’re experiencing, and find a way forward. I’m here to listen, to understand, and to navigate that process with you.

I provide therapy from a relational, psychodynamic perspective; seeing the relationship between us as central to the work. I also believe that every treatment, like every individual, is different, so at times I incorporate humanistic, cognitive, attachment centered, or more transpersonal approaches. Therapy can be a place where patterns that have developed over time can be noticed, understood, and transformed. Through a supportive and collaborative relationship, we can explore what is happening beneath the surface and make space for new possibilities.

My clinical focus includes trauma, substance use, anxiety, and sleep difficulties. I draw on a harm reduction approach, which means meeting you where you are and supporting change at your own pace. I think of recovery from trauma, substance use, and survival strategies that no longer serve us as a process of transformation in which something old may need to break down before something new can emerge. Healing is not always a linear process, and sometimes it asks us to surrender the familiar, listen more closely to ourselves, and discover new ways of being. My hope is to support that process with curiosity, compassion, and without judgment. I look forward to getting to know you and working together toward what matters to you.
